CHGC has benefited over the years from the experience and talents of many valued employees and subcontractors.

Tracy Houston – Journeyman Carpenter

Tracy has been working with CHGC since 2002 with her husband Aaron Utman. Tracy brings the talents of a furniture maker to our company. She specializes in the many special carpentry details that make a “Handcrafted Home” unique and special. Tracy is involved in our projects close to her home in the Truckee area.

Mark Morgan – Master Framing Carpenter

Mark has worked with CHGC for over 20 years. He has worked side by side with Clay as a carpenter from foundation through finish carpentry and has learned the tricks of the trade. Mark specializes in the construction and supervision of the framing crews to complete the complex foundations and framing components required by the architectural designs. Mark also has proved to be an effective project manager when requested. Mark has been involved in many of our past Truckee projects. He is now focusing on projects in the Grass Valley and Nevada City area.

Palemon Reyes - Journeyman Carpenter

Palemon has worked with CHGC since 2004. He started as an apprentice carpenter and has become a valued journeyman specializing in the carpentry work from foundations, framing, siding and trim through interior finish work. Palemon is involved in our projects close to his home in the Truckee area.

Matt Sherer – Journeyman Carpenter

Matt has worked with CHGC since 2004. He started as an apprentice carpenter and has become a valued journeyman carpenter. His specialty skills are associated with framing, siding, exterior trim and interior finish work. He has become a mill-working specialist and manufacturers the many wood components integrated into the homes. Matt is involved in our projects close to his home in the Truckee area.

Aaron Utman - Master Carpenter

Aaron has been working with CHGC since 2002 with his wife Tracy Houston. Aaron is the type of carpenter that can do anything. He is versed in all aspects of the construction trade from foundations through setting cabinet hardware. His superior interior finish techniques and details make each home he works on special. Aaron is involved in our projects close to his home in the Truckee area.

Paul Barbieri – Barbieri Construction

Paul Barbieri of Barbieri Construction is a valued subcontractor that assists CHGC with management and production of projects in the Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Truckee areas. He is a talented and multifaceted carpenter that is well versed in all aspects of construction.
